Hello everyone my name is Lorrance Lewis B.K.A. the L.O.E. I’m the founder of ThaLoedown.com. I’m an
avid sports fan with a special place in my heart for the great American made game of basketball. Though
baseball is my first Love (because of th 84’ Tigers! Yes I’m a Detroiter), and I’ll always have a passion for
football (thought I was Eric Dickerson for about 5 years in the 80’s); basketball is my favorite sport! As a child
my favorite pasttime other than playing sports and watching them was checking the Detroit News sports
section everyday so I could see the Detroit Piston’s box score, and see if Isiah dropped 20 and 10 for like the
umptenth time! Reading, watching, and playing sports has always been my passion! Though I dreamed about
playing all of the big 3 sports, I’ve also thought about being a sports writer or sports caster if those plans fell
through! Suffice it to say, I never became the next Kirk Gibson, Eric Dickerson, or Isiah Thomas because I
lacked their world class skills, but I figured I can do the next best thing and write about the sports I love!
I got the writing Jones just a few years ago when I started writing sports notes on my facebook page. Many of
my facebook friends loved my writing and some even said it was good enough to be on espn! A short time
later one of my favorite writers on Bleacherreport, Kelly Scaletta, contacted me and suggested that I should
submit a writing to Bleacherreport. He seemed to feel I was knowledgeable enough based on the comments I
would post on his articles to write for Bleacher report. Emboldened by this I decided to write something to see
if I could become a legitimate sports writer! I wrote what I thought was a great article and I let Kelly Look it over
first! He loved it! And so did everyone else I shared it with, but for some reason I was turned down! Read

I was very discouraged, because I worked so hard on this article, and couldn’t believe they actually read it
and turned me down. I shared it with many others and they thought it was pretty good also. I read it over and
found 1 typo in a very long article! But still the article was better than 95% of the ones I’ve read on
Bleacherreport! I was discouraged but not dismayed! I decided, though it would be great to get the exposure
of Bleacherreport, that I didn’t need them! That I could do it on my own! So from that point I started
conceptualizing what I wanted my website to be. A sports site with in-depth analysis free from all the knee-
jerk reaction and over-sensationalizing of the main stream sports media. I wanted to give everyone an
unfettered alternative to the inane sports talk we hear presently on the airwaves. I wanted to give everyone
“Tha LoeDown” on what the real is when it comes to sports! So I’m here today with the help of My best friend
David T Willis trying to build from the floor up! My hope is to one day, from these humble beginnings, to
become a world wide respected sports writer and analyst!
